My Approach
My approach to therapy and coaching is trauma informed, nervous system focused, and grounded in the understanding that emotional and physical symptoms develop for a reason.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use concerns, and mind body symptoms such as chronic pain, chronic dizziness, fatigue, and other persistent physical sensations. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I help clients understand the patterns beneath them.

A Nervous System Focused Framework
The nervous system plays a central role in how we experience thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations.
When the nervous system has been shaped by chronic stress, trauma, emotional suppression, or long periods of survival, it may remain in a state of protection. This can show up as anxiety, panic, depression, emotional numbness, compulsive behaviors, substance use, or chronic physical symptoms.
Therapy and coaching support the nervous system in learning that it is safe to shift out of these protective responses.
How I Work
My work is collaborative, compassionate, and paced with care.
Rather than forcing change or focusing only on symptom management, therapy and coaching center on building awareness, emotional capacity, and nervous system regulation. We focus on understanding emotional patterns, working with the body, and gently processing experiences that continue to affect the present.
This approach supports meaningful change without overwhelm.

Therapeutic and Coaching Approaches That Inform My Work
I am trained in a range of evidence based therapeutic and coaching modalities that support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and lasting change.
My training includes
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy
• Pain Reprocessing Therapy
• Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy
• Parts based and inner work approaches
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Mindfulness and present moment awareness
Rather than applying any single method rigidly, I integrate these modalities thoughtfully based on your needs, goals, and nervous system responses.
Working With Mind Body Symptoms
Mind body symptoms are physical symptoms that are influenced by the nervous system, stress, emotional patterns, and past experiences.
These may include chronic pain, chronic dizziness, gastrointestinal symptoms, fatigue, head pressure, or other persistent physical sensations.
Therapy and coaching for mind body symptoms focus on understanding the mind body connection, reducing fear around physical sensations, and creating safety in the nervous system. Over time, this can reduce symptom intensity and support relief.
Medical care is always respected and integrated as needed.

Working With Trauma, Emotional Health, and Coping Patterns
Trauma and chronic stress shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. They can show up as anxiety, depression, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, or difficulty feeling safe.
Substance use and other coping behaviors often develop as ways to manage overwhelming emotions, stress, or nervous system activation. These behaviors are not signs of failure, but attempts to regulate an overloaded system.
Therapy and coaching focus on understanding the role these patterns have played, increasing emotional awareness, and supporting nervous system regulation. Rather than using judgment or control, the work emphasizes compassion, choice, and safer ways of meeting underlying needs.
This approach is trauma informed, nonjudgmental, and grounded in extensive clinical experience working with substance use and emotional health concerns.
What Working With Me Is Like
Clients often describe therapy and coaching as grounding, validating, and clarifying.
Sessions are a space to slow down, understand patterns, and reconnect with the body and emotional experience in a way that feels safe. The focus is on understanding rather than fixing and on supporting the nervous system rather than pushing through symptoms and experiences.
All sessions are offered via secure telehealth.
